“A Different Look”

This year 2022 we have carried out a campaign in digital outdoor media and in 2021, with the presence of the Mayor of Malaga we inaugurated an exhibition in the middle of Alcazabilla street in front of the Roman Theater. Interviewed by María José Pérez Dorao and photographed by Idamor Fernandez in both cases we intend to publicize the educational work that the Dosta Association does with Roma women. This action consists of ten portraits of Roma women with a brief description of their desire to excel.  There are ten totems that explain, together with the website dosta.cientochentagrados.es , the experiences of these women through the interviews themselves and the photo shoot.
The choice of the site has its symbolism since in the reign of Fernando VI the Alcazaba of Malaga was a place of confinement for gypsy women. The inauguration was attended by the Mayor of Malaga, the Rector of the University of Malaga, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies and Labor, the President of the Dosta Association, the models themselves and representatives of the municipal corporation and press.
